On his return to England, Father Jonathan took up his first post as Assistant Priest in the parish of St. Patrick, Wolverhampton from 1993-1994.
His interest in Catholic education led to his appointment as Religious Education Adviser to Catholic primary schools in the Archdiocese and took up residence at the Maryvale Institute in Birmingham.
In 1995 the Diocesan Department of Religious Education moved to new premises in Coleshill and Fr. Jonathan was appointed to the parish of St. Thomas More, Coventry to reside with Monsignor Thomas Gavin.
In 2004 Fr. Jonathan was appointed Diocesan Director of Religious Education and Parish Priest of St. John Vianney, Coventry. He was inducted as Parish Priest in November 2004.
Father Jonathan has written various articles on Catholic Education. He was the lead writer of the Birmingham Diocesan programme for Religious Education in primary schools, and is still a regular contributor to Catholic Today.
In addition to education and his parish duties, Father Jonathan enjoys travelling and walking. He would greatly appreciate help in his attempts to maintain and improve his standard of fitness!
