Proclaiming God's Word
When the Sacred Scriptures are read in the Church, God himself speaks to His people, and Christ, present in His word, proclaims the Gospel. Therefore, the readings from the Word of God are to be listened to reverently by everyone, for they are an element of the greatest importance in the Liturgy.

APPEAL FOR READERS:
Thank you to everybody who proclaims God’s Word at Mass. If you are a reader or would like to be a regular reader at Sunday parish masses, please give your name and phone number to Fr. Alex this weekend or by email, so we can begin to establish a reading rota. Training and guidance can be given to those who haven’t done this ministry before. Eventually, Fr Alex would like to have two readers for each mass, one person to read the first reading and responsorial psalm and the second person to read the second reading and bidding prayers.
