You can make an act of Spiritual Communion by saying one of the following prayers:
Spiritual Communion Prayer for Lent
Lord Jesus Christ, Living Word of God, during this holy season, we unite ourselves with your desert experience of fasting and prayer. Consecrate our Lenten practices, satisfy our hunger with the food of your Body made present on this altar. Amen. |
Prayer of Spiritual Communion for the Year of St Joseph (2021)
Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, Son of God and Son of Mary, through the intercession of St Joseph, your earthly Guardian and guardian of the Church, unite us with the gift of your Real presence, your Sacrament and Sacrifice, which feeds your Church along the path of holiness. Amen. |
Prayer of Spiritual Communion
(St Alphonsus Liguori) My Jesus, I believe that you are present in this Holy Sacrament of the altar. I love you above all things and I passionately desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come spiritually into my soul so that I may unite myself wholly to you now and forever. Amen. |
Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament cannot be celebrated over the telephone or by conference call. A pastoral conversation and reassuring prayer may of course take place by these means. Requests for individual confessions are held after Mass on Wednesday's Friday and Saturday's. Please speak to on of the stewards.
An Act of Contrition
My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good,
I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more,
and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Saviour Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.
In his name, my God, have mercy.
