SJV Catholic Youth GroupSJV YOUTH GROUP Looking for Volunteers Our Youth Group meet in the Parish Hall on Monday evenings 5.30pm-7.30pm during term-time Suitable for Year 6 and upwards. We offer a friendly and safe environment for young people to gather together and have fun. Some of our activities include: games, team building, night prayer, fundraising, bowling, theatre trips and themed parties. Come along and meet new friends. *************
********* This last term we have been talking about the importance of friendship. The children have been reflecting on their own friendships. They have participated so well and have wrote some lovely prayers about their friends and family members. These will be displayed at the back of church. With this in mind we have spoken about a Code of Conduct for youth group, the children discussed in groups what rules they think we should follow to provide a fun and safe environment for them at youth group. These have now been collated and sent home with each child. We have asked for them to be read by children & parents/guardians. To show their commitment to the Code we have asked for them to be signed by both and returned. ********* We have lots coming up in 2020 at youth group, please check out our notice board for events and dates . ********* Supporting the work of Mary’s Meals This is a charity the youth group along with the parish are very passionate about. In 2018 our parish raised £2500.00 which was then doubled by the government through 'Double the Love' Well done to everyone who made this possible, the challenge is on to beat it during 2019! https://www.marysmeals.org.uk/ Maureen, Nicola, Sharon and Nikki
