We offer a friendly and safe environment for young people to gather together and have fun.
Some of our activities include: Games, Team building, Night prayer, Fundraising, Bowling, Theatre trips and Themed parties.
Come along and meet new friends.
Tonight we welcomed Peter Gee to Youth Group.
Peter is a member of Tamworth Rotary and is involved with Marys Meals Back pack appeal.
The Children have accepted the chalenge of collecting as many full back packs as possible,
the last time Youth Group took part they collected 97 backpacks for Malawi.
The children have been given a booklet about the campaign however futher information can be found at: www.marysmeals.org.uk/get-involved/campaigns/the-backpack-project/what-to-pack/
Items to include in a backpack:
Notepad, Pencils, Pens, Crayons, Eraser, Ruler, Sharpener, Pencil Case, Towel, Shorts or Skirt, T-Shirt or Dress, Flip-Flops or Sandals, Small ball e.g. tennis ball, Soap, Toothbrush, Toothpaste and Spoon.
Items of Clothing/shoes/towels/pens etc do not have to be new,
they could be items that the children have grown out of or don’t use anymore.
We are asking the children to get together their backpack/items over the next 3/4weeks and then bring them into youth group so we can sort them into male/female and age ranges.
We recently welcomed Robert and Catherine Carr who gave a presentation on the work of Mary’s Meals, this is a charity the youth group along with the parish are very passionate about.
It’s a knock out weekend will be taking place weekend of 16/17 June. Letters will be going out to the children soon.
