Journey in Faith

Journey in Faith - beginning Advent 2025

Who is this for?
Do you want to know more about Jesus Christ?
Would you like to grow in your faith?
Are you a non-Catholic who is interested in the Catholic faith?
Are you a Catholic who wants to go deeper into your faith?

Our meetings follow the programme of the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) which is a process by which adults who are not Catholics are welcomed into the Christian family of the Catholic Church.

Becoming a Catholic is not just a matter of learning and accepting a number of beliefs, it is a process of growth or conversion and involves personal growth as well as growing into a particular Catholic community or parish. The programme provides an opportunity to learn without commitment. It is designed for people enquiring about the Catholic faith as well as for Catholics who wish to deepen their understanding and commitment to the faith.

The RCIA process usually runs from autumn to Easter, the highlight of the Christian year and the traditional time for initiating new Christians. After Easter, there is normally a number of follow up meetings to continue our reflections on the faith.

After attending the RCIA course, adults who wish to be received into the Catholic Church are welcomed into the Church at the Easter Vigil and will become full members of our parish community.
